Frank Slootman
President and Chief Executive Officer
Frank Slootman has served as ServiceNow's President and Chief Executive Officer, and as a director, since May 2, 2011.
Prior to joining ServiceNow, Slootman served as a partner with Greylock Partners, a venture capital firm from January 2011 to April 2011, and served as an advisor to EMC Corporation from January 2011 to February 2012. From July 2009 to January 2011, he served as President of the Backup Recovery Systems Division at EMC. From July 2003 to July 2009, Slootman served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Data Domain, Inc., a data storage solution company, which was acquired by EMC in 2009. As the CEO of Data Domain, he blazed new trails creating a high-growth enterprise storage company that went public on NASDAQ in 2007. Prior to joining Data Domain, Slootman served as an executive at Borland Software Corporation from June 2000 to June 2003, most recently as Senior Vice President of Products. From March 1993 to June 2000, Slootman held consecutive general management positions for two enterprise software divisions of Compuware Corporation.
Slootman holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Economics from the Netherlands School of Economics, Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Fred Luddy
Chief Product Officer
Fred Luddy has served as ServiceNow's Chief Product Officer since May 2011, after having founded ServiceNow in June 2004. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer from that time until May 2011 and as a director since June 2004.
Prior to joining ServiceNow, Luddy served as Chief Technology Officer of Peregrine Systems, Inc., an enterprise software company, from April 1990 to October 2003. Prior to that role, Luddy founded Enterprise Software Associates, and was employed by Boole and Babbage, Inc., and the Amdahl Corporation. His products are used by thousands of corporations worldwide and have generated revenue well in excess of one billion dollars.
At the age of eighteen, his very first software program automated supply chain and maintenance purchasing processes for a business unit of American Standard. Later work involved writing an operating system competing with IBM's mainframe offering, performance and management improvements to the IBM mainframe environment, a PC video conferencing / collaboration system, and UNIX / Linux based application development environments.
Shelly Begun
Senior Vice President of Human Resources
Shelly Begun has served as ServiceNow's Vice President of Human Resources since July 2011. She is responsible for evolving the Human Resources function to facilitate and drive the company's rapid growth.
Prior to joining ServiceNow, Begun was responsible for human resources for the Backup Recovery Systems division at EMC following the acquisition of Data Domain where she served as Vice President of Human Resources. She held Vice President positions with Simplex Solutions, Xilinix, and Actel Corporation.
Begun has more than 20 years experience in Human Resources executive level positions within the high-tech industry.
Arne Josefsberg
Chief Technology Officer
Arne Josefsberg has served as ServiceNow's Chief Technology Officer since September 2011. As chief technology officer at ServiceNow, Arne is responsible for leading continued improvements to the ServiceNow Platform and driving expansion of the company's cloud strategy.
Prior to joining ServiceNow, Josefsberg held various positions with Microsoft Corporation over the last 25 years, most recently as general manager of Windows Azure Infrastructure from November 2009 to September 2011, and as General Manager of Infrastructure Services, Global Foundation Services from March 2006 to October 2009.
Josefsberg holds a Master of Science degree in Physics from the Lund Institute of Technology, Sweden.
Rob Luddy
Vice President of Business Development
Rob Luddy has served as ServiceNow's Vice President of Business Development since June 2011. In this role, Luddy works on defining and enabling new routes to market as well as serving as an executive sponsor to ServiceNow's most strategic prospects, customers and partners.
Luddy joined ServiceNow in 2005 as employee number five. For the first six years of commercial operations, he led the global sales force and was thus charged with the annual development of the corporate revenue plan and global leadership of the sales force as well as the solution consulting and professional services organizations. Under Luddy's leadership the company grew from start-up to more than $125 million in annual recurring revenue and unprecedented profitability.
Prior to joining ServiceNow, Luddy worked in a variety of sales and marketing roles at Peregrine Systems, closing his tenure there as the Area Vice President of Solutions Operations for EMEA.
Luddy is a graduate of Indiana University and a veteran of the United States Navy.
Dan McGee
Senior Vice President of Engineering and Cloud Operations
Dan McGee has served as a ServiceNow Senior Vice President since August 2011 and is responsible for all aspects of Engineering, Operations and Customer support.
Prior to joining ServiceNow, McGee served as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Support of the Backup Recovery Systems Division of EMC from July 2009 to August 2011. He held senior positions at Data Domain, most recently Senior Vice President of Engineering and Support from February 2006 to July 2009. Prior to joining Data Domain, McGee served as Vice President of Engineering at Aventail Corporation from March 2004 to February 2006 and held various positions at Pinnacle Systems, Inc. from August 1999 to March 2004 including the joint position of Director of Network Solutions and General Manager of Distributed Broadcast Solutions.
McGee holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Oregon State University and an M.S. in Engineering Management from Stanford University.
Michael Scarpelli
Chief Financial Officer
Michael Scarpelli has served as ServiceNow's Chief Financial Officer since August 2011.
Prior to joining ServiceNow, Scarpelli served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Business Operations of the Backup Recovery Systems Division at EMC from July 2009 to August 2011. From September 2006 to July 2009, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Data Domain. Prior to joining Data Domain, Scarpelli served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Lexar Media, Inc., a flash memory manufacturer, from January 2006 until Micron Technology, Inc. acquired Lexar in August 2006. From January 2002 to December 2005, he held senior positions at HPL Technologies, Inc., a provider of yield management software and test chip solutions, most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Scarpelli began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from May 1989 to December 2001.
Scarpelli holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.
David Schneider
Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Services
David Schneider has served as ServiceNow's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Services since June 2011.
Prior to joining ServiceNow, Schneider served as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales of the backup recovery systems division of EMC from July 2009 to June 2011. From January 2004 to July 2009, Schneider held senior positions at Data Domain, most recently Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Prior to joining Data Domain, he served as Vice President of Alliances, Channel and OEM Sales for Borland Software from January 2003 to December 2003. From May 2002 to January 2003, Schneider served as Vice President of Western United States Sales for TogetherSoft Corporation (later acquired by Borland Software). From January 1999 to May 2002, he was Western Regional Manager at Iona Technologies, Inc., an infrastructure software company.
Schneider holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine.
Beth White
Chief Marketing Officer
Beth White has served as ServiceNow's Vice President of Marketing since January 2012. She has more than twenty years experience in worldwide marketing, product strategy and new business creation spanning enterprise software, server and storage systems, IT infrastructure and OEM components.
Prior to ServiceNow, White most recently spent eighteen months as Vice President of Marketing at EMC's Backup Recovery Systems Division. Prior to that role, Beth served as Vice President of Marketing at Data Domain, where she led the team through rapid growth and the acquisition by EMC. Before joining Data Domain in 2006, Beth held Vice President of Marketing positions at Aarohi Communications and Vixel Corporation, both eventually acquired by Emulex Corporation. Prior to these, Beth was Vice President of Product Marketing and Management at Borland Corporation, was a Senior Partner at Global Accelerator and 54th Street Partners, and spent more than ten years in various global marketing roles at Hitachi Data Systems and Groupe Bull in France.
White holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Northern Arizona.
