CIOs Focus on Transforming the User Experience

CIO Decisions16 Focuses on How IT is Leading the Service Revolution

LAS VEGAS, KNOWLEDGE16 – May 17, 2016 ‑ ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW), the enterprise cloud company, announced that it is hosting CIO Decisions16®, an invitation only event for CIOs in connection with its Knowledge16® conference in Las Vegas. The sixth annual event brings together CIOs who are transforming the service experience throughout the enterprise.

Attendees will hear from their peers as well as industry experts about leading change, delivering modern user experiences and transforming service. The event will be hosted by ServiceNow CIO Chris Bedi, a two‑time ServiceNow customer when he was CIO at Verisign and JDSU. CIO Decisions16 will feature inspirational speakers including the following:

  • Former U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates will share his “Passion for Leadership,” providing a direct and informed assessment of why big institutions are failing us and how smart, committed leadership can affect real improvement regardless of scale.
  • Leadership visionary Simon Sinek will discuss the hidden dynamics that inspire leadership and trust in organizations as outlined in his latest book “Leaders Eat Last.”
  • Oshkosh Corp. CIO Dave Schecklman will talk about how he challenged the status quo to energize and rally his company around a new service experience.
  • Noted innovation and technology thought leader Mike Walsh will challenge how we think about the future as he discusses how emerging technologies will change the way people behave.
  • Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) CIO Rich Pierle and Cox Automotive Global CIO Ed Smith will share their experiences and best practices to successfully accelerate enterprise velocity.
  • Symantec CIO Shelia Jordan will discuss practical service transformation strategies in the midst of constant change.

“Nearly every CIO has faced the challenges of disrupting the status quo, creating a platform for change and driving business results,” said ServiceNow’s Bedi. “Decisions16 will deliver inspirational and thought‑provoking content focused on our leadership and how we can quickly impact the user experiences inside our organizations, regardless of where we are on our service transformation journey.”

At Knowledge16, more than 11,000 attendees have the opportunity to attend more than 100 labs and 200 breakout sessions, specialized networking events, and an ExpoNow exhibition hall with more than 160 sponsors. The combination of pre conference training, hands on labs, and customer‑delivered breakout sessions presents the best opportunity for ServiceNow customers and partners to experience the service revolution.
