Cloud Services Automation Manages Knowledge10 Labs on Amazon Web Services

SAN DIEGO – Knowledge10 ‑ April 19, 2010 ‑ Service‑, creator of the modern enterprise IT service management application, today announced Knowledge10 conference services will be automated by the Service‑ IT service management platform. The new Knowledge10 conference portal is now live and conference attendees can access and provision their Service‑ lab instances running on Amazon Web Services using Service‑ cloud services automation.

Knowledge10, the fourth annual Service‑ user conference, is back in San Diego, April 19‑21, 2010, and is hosting more than 550 attendees to double last year's attendance. The conference has been sold out for almost three weeks and all wait lists are now closed. The Service‑ Knowledge user conference has become a substantial community of professionals dedicated to solving the challenges of IT service management using modern technology and common‑sense IT process.

The Knowledge10 conference portal utilizes Service‑ platform functionality for self‑service, service request and service catalog, graphical workflow automation, survey management, messaging service, resource management, web content management, and cloud services automation. Conference attendees will access the Knowledge10 conference portal to:

  • Use Service‑ runbook automation to provision and manage Service‑ lab instances running on Amazon cloud services

Knowledge10 will deliver eleven lab sessions to provide Service‑ users with hands‑on training for functionality like platform‑as‑a‑service (PaaS) development, workflow engine automation, service request catalog and many others. Each lab attendee will request, deploy, access, reconfigure and retire their unique Service‑ lab instances which are managed by Service‑ cloud services automation and run on Amazon Web Services.

Early Knowledge10 registrants were able to register for complimentary pre‑conference training and courses, including Service‑ administrator training, Service‑ implementation training with Fruition Partners, and an ITIL v2 – v3 bridge course by Consulting‑Portal. These courses run from Sunday, April 18 through Monday, April 19.
