Momentum. It’s such a simple word. It’s perpetual motion—the opposite of inertia—acceleration. Momentum is, by definition, the strength and motion gained by a series of events.
As someone who’s captivated by transformation, I’m inspired by the journey we at ServiceNow are on with our global partner ecosystem and the unstoppable momentum we’ve created together.
When we hosted our Global Partner Ecosystem Summit (GPES) last year, it wasn’t an introduction to our ecosystem, but to a new era of partnership here at ServiceNow, one in which:
Intimacy is at the center of everything we do.
We demonstrate continuous innovation at every turn.
Momentum is the ultimate measure of success.
At our partner kickoff in January, we established what intimacy, partnership, and a mutually beneficial value exchange mean to us through our newly launched partner program. This drove one of the biggest changes we’ve brought to the ecosystem in the past five years.
We now have intimacy and momentum, fueled by a continuous loop of candid feedback and innovation. With joint planning and collaboration, our internal sales and partner teams are working together to deliver results beyond what we could alone.
Our progress has been noticed. Partners were front and center at our largest customer event, Knowledge 2023, in May. We had more than 140 partner sponsors, an expo floor with a curated partner experience, and a slew of incredible client meetings.
Our partners have also been featured in some of our biggest product announcements and were a key part of our July earnings call, further signaling their centrality to our strategy. The timing could not be more perfect.
The marketplace is telling us that partners are the way forward. In fact, more than 70% of the global IT market flows through channels, partnerships, and alliances, according to market analyst firm Canalys. The $4.7 trillion technology market is 73% partner-led and more than 90% partner-assisted, the firm adds.
As a result, every global technology company is shifting to a partner-first marketing strategy because they see what I see: Companies with highly developed partnership programs grow overall revenue nearly two times faster, according to an Impact study.
There’s no question that partnerships are the key to the future. Together, we need to lead the way. That’s why we’re on this journey.
This week, we returned to GPES. This year’s event was a testament to our unstoppable momentum. We hosted an intimate gathering of 50 partners in person at the ServiceNow headquarters in Santa Clara, California, and broadcast the event to thousands online, creating a curated experience to capture the momentum we feel daily.

We previewed a roadmap of program, policy, process, and technology improvements that underlie our partner experience.
Our team shared how we’re enabling our ecosystem with our most game-changing technology—generative AI.
The 2023 GPES was the next step in our journey of putting our partners front and center and capitalizing on the momentum we’ve built together. We’re just getting started.
