Voices of resilience: Building community with veterans
ServiceNow is proud to be listed among the Military Times Best for Vets 2024 Employers. This recognition underscores our commitment to creating a workplace where veterans truly feel valued. Some of the ways we're building community are through our Veterans at ServiceNow employee belonging group and NextGen SkillBridge Academy.
Our veteran employees, supported by their loved ones, have bravely served in various capacities around the world. Hear a few of their personal stories of resilience, sacrifice, and family bonds in this video:
Hometown hero
For Michelle C., senior manager of workplace services, her military experience brought her closer to her father, who is also a veteran and turned out to be her recruiter. Both experienced wartime service.
Michelle’s hometown held a parade in honor of those who gave their lives in and returned from Operation Desert Storm, where she served in a medical unit. The town also displayed her uniform, alongside other artifacts from soldiers she served with, in a local museum.
Continuing service
Senior Regional Security Manager Mayank G. and Colin K., customer success manager, found transitioning to civilian life challenging. Yet they’re proud to be finding new ways to serve and support fellow veterans by sharing their stories, creating community, and participating in our Veterans at ServiceNow belonging group.
Colin stresses the importance of being open and honest about mental health struggles, which many veterans face. Mayank is thrilled to be the regional lead for the veterans belonging group in APJ and is working to increase participation.
These heartfelt stories remind us of the importance of community and support systems. We honor the invaluable contributions of all veterans and the strength they bring to the ServiceNow community, which is dedicated to commemorating and empowering those who’ve served.
