People always think in customer support life is sad or stressed. But most of the time, what happens in customer support is you get to talk to customers, you help your customers. You make their day!
What I love about my team is the culture. We are friendly with each other and we always support each other during hard times. We have a lot of respect for each other and help each other out.
When we need help within our team, I can just say, "Jyothi, didn’t you have this issue before?" And then we talk about it. It doesn’t feel like when you have a difficult situation on our team that you’re alone. You have a friend, or five or six or seven friends who are right there with you.
We have a wide variety of things we do which is why I’m still here. I’m usually a person that gets bored easily. It’s always something new. The best thing really about the work is that it never gets boring.

Sales is a relationship and you can’t just talk to someone once a month. You really are the owner of your franchise. The one thing you can control in sales is your output, and if you miss, you do feel like you have the freedom to reassess and go back at it the next quarter.
I had to be doing something where my heart was in line with my work. Our slogan is making the world of work, work better for people. It’s a really practical way of going about helping change the way that we do work.
What I get excited about most when I come to work is knowing that it’s bigger than me. I’ve got customers who are dependent on me. I’ve got a team who’s dependent on me. You are helping drive value to your business and then they become your best commercial.
It’s a company that’s growing very fast, but it doesn’t have that big company feel. You don’t feel like a number in a system. There are people here who are willing to put the ladder back down and help you get to wherever you want to be. That commitment to the employees is second to none here.

As far as my team respectively, we take ideas from conception to a prototype. I was lucky enough to come in when the prototype was about to be finished. And now I get to see that come to life.
There really isn’t anything you can’t create on this platform. Coming from a background where I built applications from the ground up, there’s none of that here. So, you’re able to focus on the one thing you want to do which is actually write your logic and make that magic happen. Pure creation.
I have yet to find somebody who is that personality of “It’s Monday morning - I need my 3rd cup of coffee.” There’s none of that here. Everybody wants to be here. So, half of your day you’re spending at this place. Make sure you’re happy doing what you’re doing.
Kobe Bryant is my favorite athlete. He had this line that goes, “We can all be masters of our craft.” This is an idea space. It’s a place where we’re all operating on the same wavelength. We’re all interested in what we’re working on. And you hear it in people’s voices. You see it in people’s work.

Every day in the lunchroom, people sit with people who aren’t on their team. Nobody judges you if you're not interested in socializing, but if you want to come in and make friends, this office is very open to that.
Since ServiceNow relocated to its new Chicago office and the team found the rooftop barbecues, the grills have become a bit of an obsession. Some weeks the team will cook up brats, other weeks chicken wings. Friday afternoons bring a come-one-come-all happy hour on the roof when the weather permits.
