CreatorCon Has reached Level 10! Celebrate 10 Years, Share Your Memories, and Win!

Hey there, Community friends! Guess what? CreatorCon has officially reached level 10 – that is, we're celebrating our 10th anniversary in 2024! And let me tell you, this special event couldn't have made it this far without the incredible support and energy from our amazing ServiceNow Community.

To celebrate this milestone, we want to hear from YOU! We're curious to know all about which level(s) of CreatorCon you have attended; that is, how many CreatorCons have you been a part of? Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a first-time attendee, we want to see your CreatorCon experience through your eyes.

Your Challenge, Should You Choose to Accept It

1. Share your favorite CreatorCon photos, videos, or memories on social using #CreatorCon!

2. Share the link to said social post with your photos, videos or memories on this blog in the comments. (Don't forget to let us know how many CreatorCons you've attended!)

This challenge will close on April 15th, 2024 at 11:59 PM PST, so be sure to get those memories in quickly. And, best of all, by sharing your memories with us, you gain the opportunity to be featured on our interactive video wall, right on the CreatorCon 2024 show floor.

So? What are you waiting for? Get those photos in and cement yourself within the code of CreatorCon 2024.

That’s Not the Only Reward

But wait, there's more!

To show our appreciation for your participation, we're giving away three $100 gift cards to lucky contributors selected at random from the comments of this blog. So don't miss out on this chance to reminisce, connect with fellow members of the ServiceNow Community, and snag some sweet rewards along the way.

While you're here, take a look at some of our favorite memories from years past.

This was from my second Knowledge in 2018, I was only one year into my ServiceNow career working for a university as dev when I took this panorama of the "Hackathon judging session" where I randomly wandered in an somehow became a finalist. Fast forward to today and now I work at ServiceNow and run the Hackathon at CreatorCon!

Fun fact about this photo: on the very far-left you can see Lily (she's the one who got me to join the hackathon) and now we're teammates! ❤️

I'm an employee now so I'm not eligible to win but wanted to share this memory regardless! Hope you all can make lasting memories soon too! https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7174191795537383425/

I've had the pleasure and privilege to have  been involved/contributor to 4 in-person CreatorCons 2016-2019 and 2 more as an invested observer in-person in 2022 and 2023 and am PSYCHED to see it again in-person in 2024!

This year
#CreatorCon will be turning 10!
My creator journey first started at CreatorCon at Knowledge15. I was so inspired I submitted to speak the next year lucky enough to return again the next year on the podium!
Since then it has been hard to shut me up, speaking at local community events and further #CreatorCon.
I'm looking forward to heading over again this year and taking the stage at #knowledge24

I've been fortunate enough to be able to attend four in-person Knowledge conferences (17, 18, 19, 23) and have collected quite a few #CreatorCon memories

🤖 2017: My First Knowledge and Favourite Swag

If I had to pick a favourite, my top choice goes to my first ever CreatorCon at Knowledge 17 in Florida, where I got my sweet little robot swag that I ❤️love love love💚. It is my avatar in many places including here, in my ServiceNow Community profile.

At the end of the final day of the conference, some kind staff member decided to award me bonus stamps and filled a page of my CreatorCon passport.

The passport (which I still have) also listed startup finalists from K17. I wonder how many of them are still around or have evolved to something new since then. 🤔

At the time, I was only one year into #ServiceNowDevelopment career. K17 and CreatorCon definitely propelled me on my #ServiceNowDev journey.

🏆 2023: Devvies and MVP

Fast-forward to CreatorCon 23 which was also one of my most memorable because my organization won the Devvies 🏆 and I got to go up on stage to receive the award for it! It was also my first in-person Knowledge as a #ServiceNowMVP. Kudos to the ServiceNow Community team who do an excellent job 👨‍🍳😘 of making the MVPs feel extra special and appreciated.

Last but not least, I had a blast watching live Live Coding Happy Hour!

🚀 2018 & 2019: Mission to Mars and BrewOps

My other CreatorCon years were also great. I participated in both Mission to Mars (hey look, I made a leader board!) in 2018 and BrewOps in 2019.

And, because everyone loves ServiceNow swag, I have to show off the personalized CreatorCon keychain that I picked up, I think, in 2018.

Your turn - which CreatorCon years have you been to and what have you liked best about them?

Hi @Chuck

Wow, a whole decade! Hope it hits century in style and remains unbeaten🤞🙏

I hopped onto the #CreatorCon bandwagon fashionably late, like that one friend who always shows up just in time for dessert. Took on the #BuildwithRPA challenge and got myself a snazzy ServiceNow swag to strut around with. But after seeing everyone else's posts, let's just say my hopes of snagging that $100 prize are about as slim as my chances of winning a limbo contest after a heavy brunch😜

Hi @Chuck Tomasi @Earl Duque

Here I come!
Attending Knowledge23 marked my introduction to Knowledge events—a truly amazing and exhilarating experience packed with learning and networking. I cherish two standout memories:

Despite my background as a pure process consultant, I enthusiastically participated in the Hackathon, and our team, Jungle Cats, reached the top 6 finalists. This achievement provided me with a significant confidence boost, affirming my capabilities.

Another highlight was being seated in the front row during the CreatorCon keynote, immersing myself in the live experience of the event. Truth be told, before Knowledge23, I wasn't even aware of what CreatorCon was.

Last but not least, got something good for my kid, the CreatorCon printed Lego, which is still there on my table.

Can't believe #CreatorCon turns 10!  I've been fortunate enough to attend all #knowledge conferences since 2016.  #My first CreatorCon experience was back at K16 at Mandalay Bay, I was brand new to the ServiceNow platform and just trying to figure out what I was doing as a new System Admin/Developer.  Went through my photos and found this terrible quality pic from what I believe was the#CreatorCon party at a club in Mandalay Bay.

Flash forward to last year at K23, I decided to participate in the #hackathon for the first time.  Showed up and sat down at a random table with a group of people I had never met.  We chose to sit in the "I'm just here to have fun and learn a few things" section when dividing into teams.  Turns out our random group pairing was a perfect blend of skills/experience to win the Generative AI category.

Attending an event like Knowledge and diving into all that #CreatorCon offers is a fantastic way to get involved in the ServiceNow community. Don't be afraid to try new things and meet new people—everyone's there for the same reason.

Last year was the first time we put a team into the hackathon,  they loved the experience and learned a lot, though they did say they could have lived without the Karaoke (Sorry Chuck!).    Timbit Titans, it doesn't get more Canadian than that!
