is there a way of accessing SharePoint when trying to attach a file in ServiceNow?
the workaround we have at the moment is saving the SharePoint document library as a shorcut on the desktop and then navigating to SharePoint that way but wondering if there is a better solution

Hi Jes,
If you are looking to send a standardized email, you might consider setting up an email client template that has the link to the document embedded. If this has to go outside of your organization, you'll need to have that document in Sharepoint where it will be accessible. If the document is strictly text to be read, you could just embed the text in the email template.
If the document is a form to be completed, consider creating the form in ServiceNow and then sending the link to that form.
Hope that helps.

Hi John
its not for sending emails . What we are wondering is, if there was an easier way for an ITIL user to add an attachment (saved in SharePoint) in to a ServiceNow Ticket (RITM or Incident). As SharePoint is not synched like OneDrive it does not show when browsing in ServiceNow
at the moment we are advising, saving the SharePoint document library as a shortcut on the desktop and then navigating to SharePoint that way but wondering if there is a better solution

HI Jes,
I'm not aware of any better way. From your description, I take it that your SharePoint is on prem and not O365. I know that SN and MSFT recently announced some major new collaborations. You might want to check with SN directly if any improvements are coming.
Hope that helps.

Hi @jes123,
Could you able to achieve this scenario? How will you configure the methods to transfer files from ServiceNow to attachment?
