Hi All,
need some guidance on my below question.
- We're using CSM and we totally have a custom portal in place. Our plan is move from this custom portal and use ServiceNow OOB portal but we also have some requirements which can't be implemented using OOB portal and components of ServiceNow.
- so we're planning to transform our portal and doing a research on what could be the best approach on this. any suggestions on this pls?
- also, can we use UI Builder for making a new portal? i know we could create pages but is it good or possible to use UIB for making a new portal and pages etc?
whats the different between ServiceNow Service Portal and UIB from the usage point of view?

You want to use the OOB portal, but you can't, because ServiceNow doesn't provide the components OOB? So you are not going to use the OOB portal? Or are you going to create your own widgets and place them on the portal?
We're missing a lot of information here. What is missing that can't be done?
Start with the OOB portal, put everything you can on there and build the rest yourself and embed it.
And UI builder is for the fulfiller side of ServiceNow, not the end users. A couple of references:
