Issue while creating a report from metric instance table.

Not able to dot walk on table or id field of metric_instance table for reports. Hi we are trying to take the duration of time taken for each state for case table for that we are trying to track it from metric instance table- metric instance.id.then case table. but I'm not able to do it can anyone help.

That's not possible to get because ID field is document ID field and you cannot dot walk, Kindly create database view for the same.
