We’d like you to meet Daniel Olufemi Falayi, an inspiring example of how people thrive when they RiseUp with ServiceNow. He currently works as a project delivery lead and implementation architect at Configure Tek, a ServiceNow-accredited ITOM partner that serves clients across North America. Daniel’s incredibly active in the ServiceNow community, including leading his local ServiceNow User Group (SNUG) for the last three years and speaking at the ServiceNow Knowledge conference in 2020.

Daniel was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and lived there until he emigrated to Canada nine years ago. As an immigrant, he wanted to build an exciting and rewarding career in his new country. Daniel says his experience was challenging, but he worked hard to train himself as a business analyst. He then spent time as a business analyst and project manager at several companies.

Then Daniel had what he describes as a life-changing moment—being the lead business analyst for a client implementing ServiceNow ITSM and CSM. He says he was amazed at how the ServiceNow platform solved long-term organizational challenges and felt that ServiceNow really understood the pain points. Daniel loved every minute of the implementation and decided he wanted to know more. So, his first step was to become a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator in 2018. He enthusiastically explains that the CSA certification gave him a firm baseline understanding of ServiceNow and encouraged him to become a Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) for ITSM and CSM.

This was only the beginning of Daniel’s ServiceNow journey. Since then, he has also become a CIS for more than half a dozen other ServiceNow solutions—including Human Resources Service Delivery, Field Service Management, Discovery, GRC, Security Incident Response, and Vulnerability Response. He’s also broadened his knowledge and experience beyond implementation, becoming a Certified Technical Architect (CTA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD).

According to Daniel, ServiceNow has had a tremendous impact on his career. It’s given him the opportunity to work with some of the best organizations and clients in the world, including KPMG and Deloitte. His deep skills are in high demand across multiple roles and allow him to deliver valuable outcomes for clients—value he can see and measure with ServiceNow. And he wants to go even further, reaching the pinnacle of ServiceNow expertise by becoming a Certified Master Architect (CMA).

Daniel’s on a mission to help others RiseUp like he has. In addition to leading his local SNUG and sharing his insights at Knowledge, he’s also giving back to people who might otherwise find it difficult to begin a fulfilling IT career. He’s started several mentorship groups to help visible minorities and new immigrants in Canada transition into ServiceNow careers, generously sharing his experience and insights. Bravo, Daniel!

Isn’t it time to find somewhere where you can thrive, where your experiences are appreciated, and your passion is rewarded? Just like Daniel, you can build a fulfilling career doing the best work of your life with ServiceNow. The time is now. Not a second from now. Not a minute from now. Right now.

RiseUp with ServiceNow.
