I feel as If I need to set up a 1:1 with you. I also have bookmarked and subscribed. We are in the Review and Prioritization phase of a SAM vs. SAM Pro Implementation. The state of the CMDB seems to be there for hardware but not software.

End users would like to see metrics that could involve number of bins per hour, items processed per hour, bins cleaned during shift, out of stock alerts, and back of house stock room quantity updates. ServiceNow's platform could deliver data both numerically and graphically with alerts to assist workers in performing and growth.

I noticed a few things that seem a bit illogical. For example, “Content Review” and “Publish Existing Content” sound more like fulfiller workflow steps—reviewing, approving, and publishing—rather than options for selecting a content type, as the field label suggests.

Another improvement I’d recommend is adding help text or examples for the last field, which asks for a description of the content and its appearance. The purpose of this field feels unclear, so providing a short example—either directly in the UI as a hint or in the related Knowledge Base article—would make it much easier for users to understand what level of detail is expected.

Hello Henrik,

I hope you are doing well.

I am currently working on a new project based on Employee Center. The team I am collaborating with has created a design system in Figma based on the Horizon design system.

I have a question regarding variables synchronization.

Is there a way to sync Figma variables with the ServiceNow theme?

For example, if there is a variable defined in the Figma library (e.g., $var-name), and I define a CSS variable with the same name in the ServiceNow portal theme, will they be automatically linked or synchronized?

In other words, if both Figma and ServiceNow use:

Figma variable → $var-name

ServiceNow CSS variable → $var-name

Are they actually connected, or are they completely independent?

That's a good point @David Arbour so maybe horizontal radios would be ok....really a personal aesthetic preference from my POV. Perhaps if the choices are 4 or less I might be more inclined for Radio buttons.

@David Nottingha but radios mean less clicks. I think most users prefer this, as long as you only have a few options.

Personally I abhor radio buttons as I find them dated and much prefer the drop down select box. I am also not a huge fan of checkboxes but they are useful at times.

We update our Figma libraries 30 days after GA for a release. Look out for our Zurich libraries to be available next month—we will post in this group once they are available.

Hi, I'm a UX designer who is new to ServiceNow, and am thrilled to have Figma resources to explore! My company (Ameriprise Financial) is upgrading to Zurich in a few months. Just curious if Zurich has been, or will be, incorporated into your ServiceNow Figma component library?

This is fantastic, thanks for sharing! It’s great to see all these updates coming out, especially with so much focus on the new AI agents. The new Figma libraries are a huge deal too—it's so helpful to have those components ready to go for designing and customizing things like the customer portal. I can't wait to check those out.

Thanks for the screenshots and feedback. It seems like your libraries are linked correctly. For the library with "secondary button" shown, are you able to swap that one with your local published library? The second screenshot you shared is our internal library, which you do not need to relink. All the libraries you need are outlined in the library's Getting Started guide.

There might be some issues, as Figma does not currently support swapping libraries with variables. So, you will need to use a plugin. I recommend using this plugin to help connect the variables from your published library to the templates.

thanks for getting back to me

yes I did swap styles but I still have many instances of missing libraries.

I am starting from zero. no previous files. starting with the newest design system you have.

I downloaded all the figma files (your documentation on this isn't that clear on what files one really needs)

I am designing for the Employee Center

downloaded all the files and libraries and remapped them

still getting errors. It is hanging or not finding libraries

has anyone been successful using Yokohama system from scratch?

What figma files do I specifically need for the Employee Portal?

To connect the Employee Center templates to your own Figma library, you will need to link the templates to the local component libraries you have published. To do this, please check the Swap style and component libraries documentation on Figmas help page.
