Here’s a simple explanation of aPaaS (Application Platform as a Service) in the context of ServiceNow, plus how ServiceNow uses it.

Think of aPaaS as a ready-to-use platform in the cloud where you can build your own apps without worrying about all the underlying stuff (servers, databases, infrastructure).
It gives you tools, UI builders, workflows, integrations already built-in, you focus on what your app should do, not how to set up the server.
Like building with Lego: instead of carving each brick yourself, you have bricks ready, glue, instructions, so you build fast and clean.
