Hello @Gopi22

I encountered a similar issue previously, and my instance became available again after 2-3 days. I recommend waiting patiently for a couple of days, as it might resolve itself. If the instance remains offline even after 3-4 days, you may need to release the current instance and request a new one.

Note: There is no support for PDI.

Hope this helps!

"If you found my answer helpful, please like and mark it as an "accepted solution". It helps future readers to locate the solution easily and supports the community!"

Thank You
Juhi Poddar

Hi @Gopi22 ,

As you might know, there is no support available from ServiceNow in relation to PDIs, hence you're limited to two options:

Wait, it should come online after some time.

Release your instance and request a fresh installation. Please note, all development work that hasn't been backed up will be lost for good.

Hi @Gopi22

When your ServiceNow PDI (Personal Developer Instance) goes offline, it usually happens due to inactivity. Instances are automatically reclaimed after a certain period of inactivity or become unavailable due to maintenance of PDIs.

Things to keep in mind-

ServiceNow does not have support available for PDI.

Usually, you can wait for some time if it says the instance will be available after the scheduled maintenance. You can wait around 3-4 days if you have some development done on PDIs without having a backup.

Another way is that you can release your current instance or request a new one if it's urgently required.

Please backup your changes every time, whenever you leave your PDIs after some development POCs to avoid unexpected delays.

Unfortunately, there is no official support available for the Personal Development Instances and requesting a new instance is only solution available to resolve it.

Hi Ander,

Thank you for the suggestion. To take backup, we only have one option which is to export the update set as XML and store it in our machine, right? Do you know any other ways, system can automatically take backup or something ? May be take backup every two weeks and upload the file to Github or Gitlab or anything.

Thanks,

Gopikrishnan

You can either utilize a repository for app creation or you need to manually export XML files. These are the only solutions that I'm aware of.
