question Export on-call rotational schedule to excel for all groups in Community Central forum

Hi,

Is there a way export all group's on-call rotation schedule to excel and have it sent in email on a weekly basis.

I've tried creating report using 'Rotation Schedule [v_rotation]' table. However, even without any condition set, the report does not include all group's on-call schedule. It seems it would only include the group that I last used in the On-call Rotation Schedule Report. If I try to select all group from the On-call Rotation Schedule Report and run it, it gets time out. If there another way to produce the report that would include all group's on-call schedule and be able to export to excel

If it is getting timed out, it means the table has large amounts of data. You need to apply some filter so fetch only required data or recent data.

Try the above solution if it doesn't work, please share screenshots of your scheduled report and report configuration.

Accept the solution and mark as helpful if it does, to benefit future readers.
Regards,
Sumanth

Hi Sumanth,

Thanks for getting back to me. There are over 300 group's on-call schedule. If I set a filter to include a set of smaller groups, yes, I will be able to extract the report and export to excel. but this only limit to groups I selected. As soon as I set the filter to include other groups, even if I try to schedule a report to have an the on-call info in excel, the report would only include the assignment group I've currently selected. For example in the attach, I selected the AS AOS groups. If I create report using v_rotation table, even without any condition set in this report, I am able to get on-call info for these groups based on the start and end date I set. But when I update the selected group to other groups and try to run the report again, the report will be updated based on the new groups I selected. So even if I schedule the report to run weekly, I will still not be able to include all groups on-call info as it will always based on the last groups I selected. Unless there's other ways.

Did you save the report after updating filter?

Try creating a new schedule after saving it.

Hi Sumanth,

Yes, I did save the report, the report created from Reporting module using v_rotation table. However, if I update the list of selected group from the On-call Rotation Schedule Report, the report I previously saved now reflect based on the new groups I selected. It no longer include the on-call info for the previously selected groups. I hope I am explaining well
