question Does ServiceNow have a GitLab compatible forum in Community Central forum

Hi,

I am new to the community. As I learn more about this software, I feel as if I am getting my associates degrees. A lot of my work in Tech Project Management is software development. GitLab/GitHub is something that is very user friendly for Software Developers. Is there a way to integrate that into ServiceNow such as it does with MS Project?

Hi,

As per my knowledge, you can user Source Control only for custom scoped application. For Global Scoped application you can only use update sets.

There is a store app available to manage the GitLab, but it is more of administration. You can refer this link if this is useful for you:

https://www.servicenow.com/docs/bundle/yokohama-integrate-applications/page/administer/integrationhub-store-spokes/concept/gitlab-spoke.html?state=seamless

Thank you,

Hi,

Yes, you can link your Servicenow development to a GibHub repository.
Most people are used to working with update sets when it comes to developing in the Global scope. But you can just as well setup a global app bundle in Studio, and link that too to a Github repo.
I would recommend working through the learning plans offered on the developer site, to get you going.

Everything there is entirely free.
