Not able to add child group to parent group

Hi,

User is not able to add group as child in Parent group. When they open the parent group and go the the child groups tab then click on EDIT button to add select the correct assignment groups to add and it goes to the queue and click on save it but group does not appear in the child record tab list after saving.

Hi @Nandini Gupta to the child group and select the Parent group in the Parent field.

if this field is not visible, try to achieve this from the list view on the sys_user_group.

Hi @Nandini Gupta,

I have the solution! You can achieve this via the Parent field from the Child group but it is only one by one, if you want to add more it is a nuisance.

So, navigate to ANY group, scroll to the Group related tab, click right mouse button to any column label, select Configure > List Control:

And uncheck the "Omit Edit Button":

And after that and tadaaah:

Hi @GlideFather ,

Edit button is already visible to add child group to Parent group, but adding a group as child to Parent is not working and also can't see the list of groups in slash bucket.

Hi @Nandini Gupt, then it seems to som problems with the access. Can you please navigate to sys_user_group to see if there are any tables?

If no group displayed, it is insufficient access rights.

If groups are displayed, it is some bigger problem.

The most important point to remember here is that the user cannot perform that action because they do not have the required permissions or authority.

In most cases, such configurations are restricted and controlled by the system administrator. If access is needed, the user should reach out to the admin team for appropriate roles or permissions.
