question Delegate Approval on selected Application in Community Central forum

Hello all,

I have a question regarding the OOB Delegation. Is there a way we can delegate only the application that we selected.

For example, I delegate someone to approve only the change request.

Regards,

Hong

Hi Hongsok,

There is nothing OOTB that allows to do this. There is an idea that I would suggest upvoting and potentially commenting any additional use cases as it closley resembles the ask here.

If approved by ServiceNow team, this could be developed by ServiceNow in one of the upgrades.

Delegation functionality to be expanded to specific Business applications/Service Onwer options

In terms of implementing this via customisation it would be a lot of work to implement this as currently you can only delegate the following tasks;
1. Approval
2. Assignment
3. All notification
4. Meeting Invitation

If you were to do it by application you would have to create multiple assignments as an example and this would go against the process architecture of delegation which would mean re-factoring a lot of OOTB design.

Hope that helps.

Kind Regards,

Wind
