ITSM Implementation Simulator - Task 4

Hi all,

Am losing my mind a little on the ITSM Implementation Simulator - Task 4, for removing "Inquiry / Help" Category, adding Telecom and subcategories for it (conference room etc....).

Steps taken

On Incident form, on Category field > right click Configure Dictionary
1. On "Choices" related list, I made "Inquiry / Help" inactive=true - this removed it from the menu
2. I created a new Choice "Telecom" - this now shows it on the menu
On Incident form, on Subcategory field > right click Configure Dictionary
1. I created the following choices, and made the Dependent value = telecom
  1. Conference Room/Other Phone
  2. Fax Line
  3. Office Phone
  4. Voicemail
2. I removed the default value (blank)
3. On the Dependent field related list > Use dependent field is checked (true)
4. The "Dependent on field" is Category

Behaviour is as expected, when Telecom is selcted in Category, the created subcategories show!

Validating the task keeps showing "Task Result: Failed"

Can anyone help please??

Hi @Yasser Al Kindi,

just hit and miss.. I think that the value column expects to have "_" underscore instead of blanks:

Try to update these, e.g. from "fax line" to "fax_line", apply this for all the records...

office_phone,
voice_mail,
conference_room_other_phone

Let me know if that helped, if not, please share also the message from the validation - it can also give you idea on what's wrong...

Hi, thanks for replying - it was a classic case of #FFS, it turned out to be Voicemail (one word) where I had Voice Mail.
