Can I create a test instance for a user in our Dev environment?

Hi all,
I am a newbie SNOW Admin and am trying to find out how I can create a test instance like what we get when taking the course for users in our company that need to test catalog items that have been created for them. Are there instructions or examples of how to do this?

Hi there,

A user/person can request a Personal Developer Instance themselves through developer.servicenow.com. A instance to learn, explore, etc.. It's NOT an instance to do Proof of Concepts or company development!

Obviously that instance also won't contain anything from your customer instance (and also should never, so don't copy customer data to there!)

Hi @Carlos20 ,

As mark stated the instances that we get when taking a ServiceNow course or one of the free PDIs we can request is NOT for companies to test in. You instead need to look at what instances you have available from ServiceNow in your company. Is it only DEV and a PROD or do you also have a TEST, Sandbox etc? You need to have a well defined governance on how to utilize the different instances in your organization.
