How to enable “Preview Email” option in Workspace list for sys_email table like Native UI?

Hi everyone,

In the Native UI list view for the sys_email table, there is a “Preview Email” option available in the list context menu. This allows users to quickly preview the email content without opening the full record.

However, in Service Operations Workspace, this option is not available in the list context menu. Currently, the menu only shows options like:

Show Matching
Filter Out
Edit Form
Copy URL
Copy sys_id

I would like to know, Is it possible to enable the same “Preview Email” functionality in Workspace lists for the sys_email table?

The goal is to provide users the ability to preview email content directly from the Workspace list, similar to how it works in the Native UI.

Any guidance or best practices would be appreciated.

Hi @sriramsun

No, the Native UI “Preview Email” option cannot be enabled in Workspace lists for sys_email. There is no property, plugin, or supported switch to make it appear.

Hi Ankur,

This is a client requirement. We explained the current behavior, but they specifically want this functionality in Workspace.

Their use case is: when an inbound email is received, they review the subject/body to decide whether to create a Request or an Incident. Currently, they open the email record to check the details, but they are asking for a preview option so they can quickly view the content without opening the full record.

Is there any possibility to achieve an email preview in Workspace similar to the native view?
