CSA is transferring to AI system administrator?

I was preparing for the CSA exam, and I have a business development background, a non-IT background. I completed the ServiceNow System Administrator Fundamental course here in ServiceNow University. I got a basic idea. Now I'm confused: is this CSA changed with AI System Administrator?

ahoy @SubrataA,

it's an evolution of pretty much the same as new features (AI) are being added.

CSA is a certified implementation administrator and it refers to an exam to pass while the AI admin might be understood more as a role with some expected responsibilites and skills.

For more details about it, go to and enrol to the AI System Administrator Career Journey, there are 3 levels - associate, professional and expert, you can combine between the levels and each with curated suggestion for you what skills to adopt and courses to take.

No . Servicneow has introduced AI System Administrator Career Journey which is packaged by couple of Servicenow AI courses.

It has 3 stages: Associate AI Administrator ->Professional AI Administrator->Expert AI Administrator

As discussed with you, first I need to complete the CSA certification, right? Then I can focus on this AI System Administrator thing, correct?

See, every time I'm getting distracted when I see so many courses, so many directions. Just I need to stick to that first CSA exam, right?

ahoy @SubrataA,

no need for the CSA, you can take multiple courses without CSA, using it as a preparation.

Navigate to the link I shared with you above AI System Administrator Career Journey, go and select level to enrol: Associate - Professional - Expert (you can eventually skip between them)

And then for each of the level, you see this hexagons with materials to study - it can be an article, a training or other, some are optional/recommended, some are required and you can filter between them (click on the corresponding tiles)

Then you will eventually get to a point where CSA is required to complete the whole path but before that, you can start taking classes and trainings before that. It's not a prerequisite.

for csa exam :

Start reading Servicenow CSA E-book , you will get your e-book from fundamental course .

Most of the time, people get bored reading such a big eBook. However, it is very helpful for the exam. If you have already gone through the concepts in the eBook, and the same topics appear in the exam, you can quickly recognize that those questions are from specific sections.

So, don’t ignore the eBook—try to complete it.

The most important parts of the eBook are the last sections, such as Security Center, Shared Responsibility Model, and ServiceNow Encryption. These sections are often overlooked, but based on personal experience, around 4–5 questions can come from them.

Also, most of the theory and concepts in the eBook are already covered in ServiceNow prerequisite courses, so it becomes easier to revise quickly.

Sorry, I don't agree with you, because I personally feel that I need to have that concept clear. I need to dirty my hands with the system and the PDI to become the great admin, so CSA I have to go through. I'm not a fresher or new to the industry. Yes, Aditya, you are right. I already completed that course. Apart from that course, I've been learning more and getting my concepts cleared from Udemy and a couple of other sources. The more I practice and go through the courses, it will be helpful for me. Finally, I'm going to sit for the CS exam very soon, maybe at the end of July. I need one month. That's great @SubrataA, this is not agreeing or disagreeing with me :))) it's designed by ServiceNow. if you don't like it then it's cool but you want to succeed in a dynamic platform and at the same time you reject the official recommendations from that very platform... then there's not much chance to help you. Also, how many of the classes you took before disagreeing with me ;))

If you want to get "your hands dirty", then you might want to try the learning plans as seen below. The CSA is to give you basic understanding of the platform, passing it doesn't give you special powers or super skills... that's why I tried to explain to you that CSA is not prerequisite, there are tons of resources that can be taken prior to regardless the number of year of experience.
