Servicenow admin career

Hi,
I am currently working as a technical support engineer at a product based company. It has been 6 months now i am working in this role.Previously i have 2 years of experience into customer support. Now i want to transition my career towards servicenow.
I want to know which path in servicenow is better for me. Servicenow developer vs servicenow admin. I am really confused if servicenow admin roles has demand in the current market ? I really wanted to get suggestions from you.

ServiceNow Developer is generally more demanding than the ServiceNow Administrator role. However, that does not mean a ServiceNow Administrator has less market value.

Since you have experience working as a Technical Support Engineer, I would recommend starting with the ServiceNow Administrator path. Complete the CSA (Certified System Administrator) certification first, as it provides a strong foundation and is well aligned with your background.

If you are interested in coding and application development, then you can pursue both the CSA and CAD (Certified Application Developer) certifications.

First complete ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals course from ServiceNow University
Practice again all lab task in The given learning instance.
Practice in your Personal Developer Instance (PDI)
Practice mock question with Correct Answer
Practice from ServiceNow university provided practice (If you have access) : https://account.measureup.com/servicenow-university
Check the syllabus from Certified System Administrator (CSA) Mainline Exam Blueprint
If anything left or you are struggling with answering practice test, Revisit the course content.
Once you are confident , Schedule the exam and Go for it.

1. Go Through the course content till your concept is clear - Certified Application Developer (CAD) Learning Path

2. Certified Application Developer (CAD) Exam Blueprint for syllabus

3. Practice in your Personal Developer Instance (PDI)

Practice lots of mock question with Correct Answer

If anything left or you are struggling with answering practice test, Revisit the course content.
Once you are confident , Schedule the exam and Go for it.

Note: Once registered, you have 90 days to schedule and complete your exam.

Why not combine both. The path to CAD usually goes through CSA as it is a very good idea to have a strong understanding of the platform before you attempt to develop.

Thank you so much for your responses @Tanushree Maiti and @dimi_ . This guidance was helpful, a small doubt from my end. As i have experience in both customer support and technical support , i really wonder if companies consider my 3 years of experience or do they consider me as a fresher for servicenow?Please leave your opinion on this. This will help me to choose the right path and take the appropriate decision.
