    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi everyone,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We have requirement to clone production instance to test instance in our project, though our management team ask to try cloning in PDI first and then replicate similar logic in Production and Test instance.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have taken the below steps in PDI:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. On source instance marked "&lt;A class="" href="https://dev174925.service-now.com/sys_properties.do?sys_id=bbabaf03ff3200007fe1fe51c17f9d4c&amp;amp;sysparm_record_target=sys_properties&amp;amp;sysparm_record_row=1&amp;amp;sysparm_record_rows=1&amp;amp;sysparm_record_list=nameSTARTSWITHglide.soap.require_ws_security%5EORDERBYname"&gt;glide.soap.require_ws_security&lt;/A&gt;" system property to true.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. Created a new user in source instance, given him admin role and marked Internal Integration User to true.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. Created a Clone target record.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4. In source instance marked "&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;glide.db.clone.allow_clone_target" system property to true using background script.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;5. In target instance crated Clone Profile for source instance and clicked on "Create a clone request" selected the schedule time and click on submit.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;6. Authentication successful also saw the warning message and confirmed it.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;7. Initial state of System Clone is Requested I clicked on Check Clone status and the System Clone state becomes Error.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;8. The error log shows below two errors,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; i. "clone.log.error.status.confirmation"&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;ii.&amp;nbsp;Unable to contact server for confirmation. Please check the server URL. (this is repetitive when I refresh the error log)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;9 I then checked history in target instance and able to see in the state of Clone Request now becomes Hold and clone log shows below message&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;i.&amp;nbsp;Clone CLNREQ0001032 scheduling failed.Status updated to Hold.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;I'm attaching screenshot of error log.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;I am expecting a reply which states:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;1. End to end steps to clone the instance.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;2. Is it possible to clone PDI's.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;3. How to get rid of "Unable to contact server for confirmation.       <description>&lt;P&gt;You won't be able to clone it at all. This is pointed in the documentation for using PDI. Yet, you can create update set and add to it whatever you need there and just export it. This applies to client data as well - you can use the tool "Add to update set" to ease your task.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi there,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;PDIs are not intended for such a purpose. Also note PDIs are not supported. It also sounds strange to me if a company would &lt;STRONG&gt;accept&lt;/STRONG&gt; their instance to be cloned to a Personal Developer Instance.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Have you considered raising a case at ServiceNow Support? To ask for a temporary environment?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Mark,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We are not cloning production instance to PDI. In our case both source and target instances are PDI's.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;O oke, that simply will not be possible.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;And like I mentioned, that's also not what PDIs are intended for.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
