Limit MS Teams integration

Hey Community,

I have a question about the ServiceNow to MS Teams integration.
When preparing this integration, we have an ask to limit who is allowed to see the bot within MS Teams.

Is there a way when setting up the bot in Teams, that we can limit it to only an AD Group? or a List of Users?
We want to be able to have our testing users test the bot before it's rolled out company wide.

If so, can you link me to some documentation for this?

Hi @Steven Young,

That user restriction to bot taken care by ms teams admin end.

1. Specify Permissions in the Manifest:
• In the app manifest, define permissions for the bot, typically “User” scope for specific users or groups.
2. Define App Policies:
• Use Teams to set up app policies for controlling app access, including bots.
3. Assign Policies to Users or Groups:
• Assign app setup policy to the desired Azure AD group or user list for bot access.
4. Testing Phase:
• During testing, confirm that test users are in the policy group to limit bot access.
5. Rollout:
• After successful testing, expand access by adjusting the policy to include a wider audience.

I have a scenario where I do not want the mobile user to access it, is there a way we can restrict it, that only desktop request / User can access it.
