Replying to my own question. Once you have downloaded the .zip patch file, typing the following command gives helpful instructions:

java -jar <zip-filename> --help

Hi. My organization is self-hosting. I have an existing node running San Diego patch 1 that I'd like to update to patch 7. The instance is OOB and we have not customized it. I've downloaded the San Diego patch 7 zip file but am not sure what to do next.

Do I install patch 7 as it's own node, leaving the existing San Diego patch 1 node alone? How to do this?

Or can I apply patch 7 to the existing patch 1 instance? Again, how do I do this?

I understand the difference between updating and upgrading and am looking to update my San Diego instance. I've found self-hosting upgrade information on the website but little on the procedure for doing a self-hosting update. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you, Garry
