Verify values in a dropdown field using ATF

Using ATF, I'm writing a test step where I should verify that a dropdown field (For eg; Category) has specified values present. Any suggestions on how I should do this?

Thanks for your response. You gave me more information than I actually needed!!

However, I have only one dropdown field named Category and I am trying to add a test step to verify its values. (When I went over the Parameterization example that you provided, I notice that it shows the dependency between Category and Sub-category field)

So, just for Category field alone, would I be able to write a single test step in which I could validate the field has the expected values in the dropdown?
