Need help on building custom HeatMap Report type in UI page to have it in dashboards for GRC: Advanced Risk.

We are trying to clone the OOTB Heatmap report widget for sn_risk_advanced_risk_assessment_instance table, but the report is not pulling the records and showing No data to display, Can anyone provide your inputs on achieving the same.

Hi Sivakumar,

Could you please provide some details on this context ?
For example - Whether the data brokers are properly configured or not ?
In UIB are you able to see the data from the respective databroker before it is being passed to the heatmap ?
If you are using it with Advanced Risk, Does the heatmap configuration done in the inherent / residual assessment for the respective RAM ?

Hi Sourya,

In OOTB it is configured by a UI page for sn_risk_risk table for both inherent and residual. I am trying to replicate the same (residual and inherent) for sn_risk_advanced_risk_assessment_instance table and that is where I am not able to fetch the data, below is the screenshot of OOB report available for sn_risk_risk table

Hi Sivakumar,

We have two separate widget which takes into account the inherent/residual assessment scenario for sn_risk_advanced_risk_assessment_instance table.

In the widget category search for Advanced inherent heatmap or Advanced residual heatmap. Tag it along with an Interactive Filter > Reference > Risk Assessment Methodologies.

Did you try using that ?

Thanks for the suggestion, when I am trying to get the combination of control effectiveness and inherent risk, widget shows "no data display" actually there are data in the backend, Is there any way to get the report without using interactive filter?

Hi Sivakumar,

For the data to show on the heatmap we ensure the following:

Navigate to Advanced Risk > Properties > Migrate to Advanced Risk Assessments is enabled.
For a respective RAM , under Inherent Assessment / Residual Assessment - ensure Enable heatmap is enabled.
Heatmap configuration is properly configured.
Heatmap colors related list has the respective entries and the color populated.
The Risk assessments are in monitor state.

Please ensure that the above criterias are properly set.

Regarding your query related to - Is there any way to get the report without using interactive filter?
For Advanced Risk the heatmap is associated with a RAM, the reason for which we need the interactive filter.
