question UPS discovery - Credential type in ITOM forum

UPS discovery - Credential type

I am able to discover UPS but not all and I am not sure which credentials it is accepting. Could you please help me to understand what is the credential type for UPS? Few UPS are not reachable and for few UPS, I am getting warning as "Alive Not classified". Kindly assist me.

Hi Sudhakar,

OOB a standard UPS is getting discovered by SNMP. In your case, you need to check your SNMP credential/ Firewall for the devices which are not getting discovered. In case if your Credential and Firewall both working fine but still your UPS not discovering then ServiceNow might not be supporting to discover these devices OOB. In that case, you need to add your host SNMP System OID into the discovery_snmp_oid table so that your existing UPS classification probe will be used to discover this device.

Is it possible to have the UPS related infrastructure discovered? like which router,switches, servers are connected to UPS1 at London site
