Relation between Assigned to and Assignment group

In the incident table, the assigned to field shows only the users belonging to the selected assignment group. How does this work? I know that it's not just about setting the dependent field as assignment group in the dictionary of assigned to. There is more to it.

Hi Praveen,

Assigned to is dependent field on Assignment Group and in addition to that their is a simple reference qualifier applied on the assigned to field (R.click on assigned to > configre dictionary > under reference specification tab) .

This reference qualifier will show the users having ITIL role from the selected assignment group in yor assigned to field.

Hi Ajay,

Your approach will only filter the list of assigned_to field with only ITIL users not necessarily from the selected assignment group. Meaning i will still be able to fill assigned_to field with a user from another group.

@Ajaykumar Can that be bi directional? So if the assigned to is selected first and you go to select the assignedment group - only the grps that the assigned to is associated with shows up?
