question How to add BST timezone to ServiceNow? in ITSM forum

We currently have GMT timezone for UK users, but for the summertime they use BST, this causes their tickets to be timestamped with a 1-hour difference.

Any suggestions on fixing this or how to add BST to ServiceNow for summer time?

Explanation of BST and GMT timezone: Both are related to the time system and give an idea of the different time zones in different areas. GMT is the standard time system, while BST is a time system that is followed in Britain in the summertime. Both GMT and BST were founded in the United Kingdom; GMT is followed in winter, and BST is followed in summer.

Hi, GMT is a reference timezone and does not have a daylight savings offset,
and while the UK uses 'BST' to identify when they are in daylight savings, neither GMT or BST identify the UK timezone properly.
The OOB timezone I would expect to be valid for UK users is 'Europe/London' and this timezone should allow for UK daylight savings
