How to create interactive filter in UI BUILDER same as dashboard?

Hi Folks,

I need to create a reports in ui builder and also need to create a interactive filter if i change anything in the filter the reports update the same? Can anyone help with this requirement.

If you're creating a dashboard for a workspace and need something like interactive filters, I would strongly recommend using the inline dashboard editor in platform analytics workspace. It's a lot easier and everything just works together. If you need to go the UIB route it would be pretty manual to wire everything up together. I have created Interactive filter on my workspace landing page to filter the group members of specific group and display data on reports accordingly but while we select the user then no filter is getting applied on the other side we also has filter to filter by created date of incident it is working properly.

Can you please guide me on this

Could you share more about what you've done with steps by steps and screenshots and then what you're expecting and what you're actually seeing? I'm not really following your description.

Basically, you'll need to use events and client state parameters to bind the values to the list.

Hello @Brad Tilton Sorry for the confusion,

I have created two interactive filter :

1) By technician & 2) Key Dates

By Technician is to filter the member of specific group, for ex: if we select any user from dropdown then reports which in on incident table will sort data accordingly. but when I select any on user from By Technician filter then no filter is getting applied.

For Key dates filter it is working properly:

Expected Outcome:

while selecting any group member from By Technician dropdown then related filter should be applied to reports.

If you have a dashboard created with the inline editor, how do you display this in a workspace? (I have made sure to add the workspace in the dashboard visibility field).

Hopefully you had already figured this out in the meantime, but it appears that you did not select anything for 'data to filter'. So you have your filter source, the user table, but then you also need to specify on which field you want to apply that filter! So you could for example use 'user' to filter 'assigned to'. But it seems that in your case you need to use a cascading filter. Configure a Single/Multiple select or cascading filter in the in-line editor
