Hi,

It seems system does not allow us to trigger more than once the same catalog item on order guide at the top. We have more chekboxes for software and want to trigger at the top tab more Software catalog.

We set the rule base, the conditions, but always only one software item displays at the top after choose options.

Do you know why? How we can add the same catalog more than one?

thank you!

Hi,

I think you must use Rule base ( http://wiki.servicenow.com/index.php?title=Service_Catalog_Order_Guides#Creating_Rules ) for more then one item.

Also define no. of item if you need same item more then one it's good.

also see following.

Re: Service Catalog - Request Multiple Items

If you have any problem let me know.

Thanks,

Sanjeev Kumar

hello, thanks for the answer!

I use rule base for sure. We have checkboxes on the guide form, triggers catalog items with Rule Base. No problem at all until I want to have the same catalog item triggered at the top tab. Attached a screenshot about the Rules. The 1st and the 4th works good. But nothing happened when the 2nd and 3rd is true. It states me that we are not allowed to trigger same catalog items within an order guide, all catalog must be unique.

Our goal is simple, as many Software checkboxes selected we need the same amount of Software M catalog item at the top tab bar to order.
Played a bit with show quantity option but did not help.

Many thanks!

Hi all,

This question came up in one of my classes recently so I figured it would be best to post my response here as well.

Basically this appears to be a limitation with our current design as each tab in an Order Guide represents a catalogue item and therefore each tab's ID is the sys_id of the item it displays. It is therefore not possible to have the same item displayed on more than one tab. I spoke to the development team and they informed me that we do not have any plans to enhance the design to include multiples of the same catalogue item. The best I can suggest is to log an enhancement request.

Laszlo Bolya please mark your question answered if you feel my response has answered your question.

Thanks,

you can't put the same item in multiple times.. what we have done in a case where this is required is to negotiate a maximum number of times it can be available <generally five or ten> then create that number of items... software request1, software request2 etc...

so if they need five software items you would call software request 1-5... if they only need one.. you would only call software request 1 in the rules.
