How to test the remainder email notifications in ATF ?

Hi All,

I made an ATF test where I submit the request with a order guide and used the 'Validate Outbound Email ' test to see if the notification has been sent to the requested for and his manager.

My validate outbound email is failing, is there anything i need to change or did i done in wrong way

Kindly suggest me.

Hi reddy,

I'm irritated. What exactly do you want to test? The outbound email after initial checkout or the approval reminder notification?

For the second case it is difficult to test as you cannot wait the time the reminder is triggered (mostly after several days)

For ATF you need any kind of bypass which has to be implemented within the Flow.

Thanks for your reply .

I wanted to test The outbound email after initial checkout for requested for and his manager

and 10 mints Approval remainder as well.

but its failing for requested for manager at outbound email after initial checkout.

see below screen shorts i have mentioned condition on "Validate output email" was

I don't know your order guide or what you have done so far in your ATF tests, but having a look on your condition I think to know the problem. For the "To" condition you cannot use only "Manager". Instead, go a level deeper in the data pill to the email address field of the manager.

Hi reddy,

again, without knowledge of your order guide and the contained catalog items as well as their underlying flows/workflows, I am not able to recommend anything.

Are you really sure, that an email should be triggered at the stage you are testing?

Hi Maik

I have tested manually it is working but i am implementing same steps in ATF.

but after submit the request i am able to query the request , RITM and approvals

when i am trying with Record Query of sys_email table and next open an existing record it is executing but it showing the only first record

ehwn i am giving the conditions, i am getting error
