create task activity is not completing its stuck in running state , how to troubleshoot ?

Hi All,

I have create task activity in workflow which is stuck in running state. But the task has been created and action has been performed on that task and currently the the task is in closed complete state.

I am unable to understand the reason why the create task activity in the workflow is still in running state even after task has been created in backend?

Is there any way i can move the workflow in the next state?

Can you check if there is any overlapping activity over it that you have created? Like same two activities?

checked... there are no overlapping activities.

Hi there,

What exactly do you mean by "create task activity is not completing its stuck in running state". If your workflow context is still on this step for example, it could be because you flagged (is out-of-the-box flagged), wait for completion of the task.

Can you share a workflow context? And details of your task utility? Also details on the transitions on this step, did you leave these out-of-the-box or maybe changed?

And if you perform a nudge on the workflow context, is the workflow then proceeding?

in my case the workflow i've added the Create Task is at the sc_request table, but create task generates a record on sc_task table. so is the issue due to no oob business rule to update workflow that the task completed?

recommendation on resolve (in other words help translate what @Ankur Bawiskar said in the post talking bout Problem workflow.
