Hello,

Thank you for sharing the KB. My issue was not concerning the board contents but the VTB board type. indeed the Guided Board type was not allowing me to edit any fields. Always make sure that you board is a Freeform Board otherwise you will depend on the choice made by the creator to build up the lanes.

Regards,

Hello,

I am having an issue with a Visual Task Board. The owner left the company and the owner has been changed after modifying the ACL to allow admin to edit the field owner.

The new owner is not allowed to rename or edit anything neither as an admin. At the moment I change something in the vtb_board view or lane and that I save, if I go back to the board the changes reset to the old records and ignore the new modifications.

Did someone already saw this behavor ?

Thanks for your help

Hi @Axel5

Refer this KB article: KB0679427 How to change the owner of a Visual Task Board

Issue

This article describes how to change the owner of a Visual Task Board through the ACL vtb_board.owner, which specifically allows the "nobody" role to alter a Visual Task Board's owner field.

Symptoms

Updating a VTB board owner is not allowed out of the box due to Access control permission allowing "nobody" to change owner.

Facts

The "nobody" role, which only ServiceNow personnel can assign, takes precedence over the admin override option. If an ACL is assigned the nobody role, admin users cannot access the resource even when Admin overrides is selected.

Documentation on Configuring an ACL rule

ALso refer: How to update the owner of a VTB
