Regarding the reference fields

Hello,The reference fields in the native view has info icon button which upon clicking gives the open record and we can open the record, now for the same reference field in workspace i cannot see the info icon button, how can i configure that in workspace?

There is OOTB info button on reference field in Workspace . It will appear when you select record in reference field .

I wanted the variables too to show in the same way, for variables icon is been shown, but cannot open the record

Hi @shreya_3009

please create a View named Sys_popoup for a table in which you want to modify the view and configure the View layout as you want and then that view will be reflected in the workspace preview pane.

Like in the Caller field, which is referencing to sys_user table we are having sys_popup view, but it's not been created for Configuration Item & Service Offering table, this is the main reason we are unable to get preview icon

@shreya_3009 It's the OOTB feature in the instance.

There is a way you have to make active true in the system property.

Hello @shreya_3009 ,

There is one system property which you need to set it as true to get open record button on variable on service catalog

Workaround
This is expected behaviour. The open record button on the reference type question is driven by the system property 'glide.sc.variable.reference.clickthrough'. This should be set to true to see the open record button on the popup.

Hi,

First picture refers to native view --> Territory and legal support are reference fields so we are able to see the icon in native view
Second picture refers to the workspace view--> Here the variables territory and legal support are not showing up the icon
So, i have to configure it for all the reference fields such that the icon shows up, and if its a field on table and if its reference field, the icon is showing up , but if its variable its not showing up, any suggestions could be helpful

left view is native where i can see the reference icon button right side is workspace view where i cannot see the icon
