question Platform analytics migration gs.getUser() calls in Upgrades and Patching forum

We are attempting to do the migration from Performance Analytics to Platform Analytics. However, some previous dashboards are using custom filters for groups using breakdowns employing calls to the javascript gs. object, and these do not migrate over. It puts a placeholder for a filter, but with no table or indicator source or filters listed. Attempts to recreate a filter in the new version with gs. calls seem to be ignored. I'd appreciate any information on how I have to query for the current user object in the new PA system.

Old breakdown source:

Hi

please use dynamic filters instead:

I believe that I fixed my own problem. I'm not sure if there was a typo or something causing the filter to be ignored, but I made it again under the filter configuration here. Being really new to Platform Analytics, I didn't realize that I had to re-associate the data to filter again. I guess since the migration didn't bring over the filter itself, it reset these when I remade it. Now it seems to work like this.
