I can recommend a best practice of building a reporting database with replicated ServiceNow data and connecting Power BI there instead of connecting it directly to ServiceNow. Please use a professional replication tool such as SnowMirror to download the data in the DB.

There is a connector available in the ServiceNow store.

That should make your life a whole lot easier then having to build and maintain this yourself.
