Create naming convention while create instance of equipment

Hi Team, 

I have requirement, when we create instance of equipment using change model or API

Equipment name & Hostname need to create as per customer rule depends on type of equipment user creates.

How to achieve  this?

Yes, I have achieved this using flow design logic with some custom script for my use cases
