#BuildWith is BACK! Here's your first look

For the fourth year in a row, #BuildWith is back, and this time, we’re excited to see what you’ll create with ServiceNow Build Agent! Here’s your first look at what’s ahead. The full challenge guide, submission details, and instructions will be shared on November 12th, so stay tuned!

This is your chance to jump into a brand-new way of building apps. Build Agent introduces vibe coding, a chat-based interface that feels more like a conversation than a command line. You talk, it builds. It’s fast, intuitive, and fun! Just describe what you want, and it gets to work.

Ready to build something amazing? Let’s get started.

This is your chance to get hands-on and build something that addresses an opportunity for yourself or your organization.

I’m excited to share that I participated in the #BuildWithBuildAgent challenge and built an application called “My Reading Tracker”  entirely using natural language prompts.

Here’s what makes this app special:

  • The Build Agent generated the data model, business logic, and a React-based Kanban UI automatically.
  • The app helps users organize books through three stages: Wishlist → Reading → Completed with simple clicks.
  • This experience showed me how quickly ideas can turn into functional apps using AI + Low-Code on ServiceNow.

Looking forward to exploring more possibilities with GenAI and Now Assist!

I've just started to work on the #BuildWithAgent challenge, provided annually by ServiceNow, and I could not be more excited with the results.

My main goal was to create a Service Portal, for a burger shop (that I’ve named “Howkins Burger”), informing the latest 5 news, the latest 5 priority 1 tickets, a button to submit a new ticket and a button for every ticket entry, to see its details. I also wanted to display a chart of all severities and a map of all burger shops.

That was my first prompt:

"I want to create a Service Portal for the Howkins Burger company. In this portal, I want to view all the latest 5 news, and the latest 5 priority 1 tickets. Create a button to submit a new ticket. The theme's main colors must be yellow and black."

Next, I moved on to creating a dashboard that organized all tickets by priority. Once again, the agent understood perfectly what I had in mind. To achieve this, I've used the following prompt:

"Create a chart in order to show all the tickets, separated by priorities. Create tickets, using different priorities to populate the chart. The chart must use the colors of the main theme".

To wrap things up, I asked for a world map showing all Howkins Burger locations — and the result turned out great. Here's the final prompt:

"Create a world map and place 40 burger shops around the USA and Brazil. Spread them randomly in these two countries. Zoom in until only North and South America are visible on the map".

This challenge was a lot of fun, and it reinforced how powerful and promising the Build Agent really is.

Can not wait to #BuildWithAgent on my daily bases.

I created a new app with a user list. Using the Netflix series Suits, I created the main characters and purposely misstyped some names to see if the AI agent would correct it, which it did. Took two minutes to build my app and user list.

HI, I have build an Application using the Build Agent Community care hub , a centralized platform for community aid initiatives.Faster response times in emergencies (e.g., arranging ambulances, food during floods).Better engagement of volunteers and NGOs.A transparent system for tracking help requests and their resolution.Build stronger, connected communities with digital tools.
For example: A senior citizen can request medicine delivery, and the nearest available volunteer gets notified and can respond. Or during a RBC shortage, the system can notify eligible donors near a hospital in need

Hello all,

I’m excited to share that I’ve completed my first project as part of the #BuildWith #BuildAgent challenge. This time, I wanted to explore something fun and different — and the result genuinely amazed me.

I built a complete Movie Database Application entirely through the ServiceNow Build Agent using just a structured prompt. The speed, precision, and intelligence with which the Build Agent generated tables, relationships, UI actions, scripts, and even demo data was incredible. A fully functional application, created in minutes, powered solely by natural-language instructions.

What impressed me even more was how the Build Agent handled troubleshooting. Whenever something didn’t behave as expected, it systematically checked across modules, validated configurations, and even removed rules or ACLs one at a time while testing in parallel to isolate the exact root cause — all within minutes. Debugging has never felt this effortless.

I created a custom application called “Movie Database”, designed to store movies, genres, and reviews, and offer users the ability to browse, filter, and explore a rich movie catalog. The highlight of the app is a Suggest Movie feature that recommends movies based on genres and ratings with a single click.

The prompt I used:
“Build a Movie Database application using ServiceNow where I can store movie information, genre categories, and user reviews. Include tables for movies, genres, movie-genre relationships, and reviews. Add fields like title, director, year, poster URL, and average rating. Create a Suggest Movie button that recommends a movie based on selected genres and minimum rating. Add demo data with at least ten movies across different genres. Implement business rules to compute average ratings, provide filtering options, and generate a clean UI for browsing movies.”

🎬 Key Features:
Centralized Movie Records with genres, ratings, and metadata
📚 Structured Data Model with Movies, Genres, Reviews, and M2M relationships
🔍 Smart Recommendation Engine with one-click movie suggestions
🛠 Automated rating calculations and background logic generated by Build Agent
📊 Ready-to-use dashboard components for top-rated and trending movies

@laurentapia

I'm excited to share my entry for the ServiceNow hashtag

#BuildWithBuildAgent challenge!

I built a "Ai Code Review Manager" tracker with natural language prompts.

The Build Agent created the data table, the business logic, and this React-based component. I have entered prompt following YOLO template and the AI built it.

Submit Code by attaching file or entering code and submit for doe review, in couple of minutes, result will be displayed on dashboard. Easy tracking by replacing excel sheet
