ServiceNow Brings Digital Workflow Innovation to Korean Enterprises

ServiceNow to unlock productivity in Korea

Korea, home to industry leaders from consumer electronics to automotive, is one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world. With a commitment to investment and growth in Korea, ServiceNow will enable Korean companies of all sizes, across various industries to accelerate their digital transformation initiatives via the Now Platform.

ServiceNow’s local investment and growth plans

ServiceNow opened its first office in Korea this month, as it begins to hire local sales leaders focused on the Korean market.

ServiceNow plans to open a Korean Data Centre in the first half of 2020 to support the digital transformation efforts of its local customers and to help Korean companies across industries reduce repetitive or routine work tasks, freeing up their people to focus on more meaningful work.

Koreans demand automation to make work better

With the implementation of the 52‑hour work‑week scheme expanding to Korean companies of all sizes, next year, unlocking opportunities for people to be more efficient, creative and productive will be critical for all companies in their digital transformation journey. ServiceNow is currently building a robust local team that can work with local customers to eliminate routine and menial tasks from their daily business operations.

According to research conducted during October, 2019, by Data Scream for ServiceNow, more than 50 percent of Korean office workers are seeking more “streamlined work processes” and “enhanced efficiencies” through workplace automation. Respondents across the board said they desire the most manual tasks to be automated, such as accessing HR data, employee on‑boarding processes, employee review processes and booking meeting rooms or ordering office supplies.

Among IT workers, an impressive 62 percent said that they desire streamlined work process for structured work, such as software installation, invoicing, travel booking, pulling invoice data.

Partnering to deliver digital workflow innovation

As ServiceNow expands its operations in Korea, it will be joined by multiple digital transformation partners including LG CNS with more partners joining the effort in 2020.
