# Reopen a closed risk event

Reopen closed risk events to identify and address overlooked or underestimated risks, updating existing risk events instead of creating another risk event.

## Before you begin

Role required: sn_risk_advanced.risk_event_admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllRiskRisk Workspace.
2. Select the list icon ![List icon.]() and navigate to the closed risk events.
3. Open the risk event that you want to reopen.
4. Select Reopen.
5. Select a reason and provide justification in the Additional Comments field.
6. Select Confirm.  
   The risk event moves to the Analyze state.
