The Recommended for you widget displays catalog items and knowledge articles,
enabling you to view information that is most relevant to you. You can configure the
instance options to control the appearance of the widget, such as the title, number of items
to display, and what category of items you want to view.

## Before you begin

Role required: sp_admin or admin

## Procedure

1. Navigate to AllSelf-ServiceEmployee Center.  
   The Employee Center home page is displayed.
2. Press and hold the control key, right-click the Recommended for you widget, and then select Instance Options.  
3. Configure the instance options.

   | Instance option | Description |
   |-|-|
   | Number of similar users used for prediction | Number of similar users for prediction. For example 25. |
   | Recent activity cut off in days | Recent activity cut off in days. For example 30 days. |
   | Title | Title of the widget. |
   | Limit | Number of items to display in the widget. Default value: 3 |
   | Category | What category of items you want to view on the widget. The choices are: * knowledge * catalog * knowledge and catalog {#config-recommended-for-you__ul_btv_zyj_crb} Default value: knowledge and catalog |
   | List Type | How you want the items to appear on the widget. The choices are: * Card List * Simple List {#config-recommended-for-you__ul_w52_dzj_crb} Default value: Simple List |
   | Card Behavior | The way you want the card to appear on the widget. The choices are: * single * wrap {#config-recommended-for-you__ul_l45_dzj_crb} Default value: single |
   | Load Configuration | Order in which the page and widgets data loads. Select one of the following options: * Asynchronous: First the page loads, then the widgets data loads. Users see content appear in the widgets as soon as each individual widget loads. * Synchronous: Page and widget data loads at the same time. The page remains blank until all the data loads. |
   | Show empty state | Option to show the widget with empty state message. |

4. Click Save.
