Status reports provide a fully customizable and configurable view of the current project state, displaying essential metrics such as overall health, schedule, scope, cost, and resource utilization. Wit status reports, project teams and stakeholders stay aligned, informed, and prepared to address any project-related challenges in a timely manner. Project managers can either create and configure their own status reports or can use one of the two base system templates: * One Page Status Report: This template provides a concise one-page summary of key project metrics, making it ideal for quick updates where a high-level overview is sufficient. * Default Status Report: This template includes a more comprehensive range of data points, covering areas such as milestones, risks, issues, decisions, and change requests. This capability helps you share only the portfolio plan data that matters to your stakeholders and restrict access to the other data. ## Update actuals easily using the enhanced target breakdowns interface {#r_ITBusinessManagement__section_g3g_rwn_gdc} Use the enhanced UI to update the actuals for a target in the Strategic Planning Workspace. * Create daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly target breakdowns according to how often you want to update and track the progress of the target. The target breakdowns are created based on the value selected in the Check-in frequency field. * In the Progress tab of the target's side panel, view the trend of the target's progress in a line or bar graph. You can also edit the planned target and view the check-in history of the target actuals. {#r_ITBusinessManagement__ul_c4t_hxn_gdc} ## Prioritize and roadmap high-level items in Portfolio Planning workspace {#r_ITBusinessManagement__section_dkr_2rg_ccc} Enable higher-level planning personas, such as EPMOs and product leaders, to prioritize and plan high-level items, programs, instead of a bottom-up approach focused on specific work items​. For example, if you are department head, you can build a portfolio plan for your department's programs. Review the programs using the List view, drill down into the projects and demands associated to these programs in a Hierarchy view, and track the progress of these programs using the portfolio roadmap. ## Export roadmap or free-form roadmap to a Microsoft PowerPoint file {#r_ITBusinessManagement__section_tll_y2l_21c} Export the portfolio plan roadmap or free-form roadmap into a Microsoft PowerPoint file so that you can keep your business stakeholders updated on the progress. Save time by avoiding copying data into reports and drive shared outcomes by enabling collaboration even with stakeholders who can't access your ServiceNow instance. You can export roadmap or free-form roadmap to the predefined Microsoft PowerPoint template or you can also create your own branded template and then export. ## Export the data of your goals and targets to a Microsoft Excel or CSV file {#r_ITBusinessManagement__section_vv1_jvt_c1c} Export the data of your goals and targets from list view of the Goals page and to a Microsoft Excel or CSV file to share the data and collaborate with your business stakeholders. ## Manage financials of sub-projects on parent project {#r_ITBusinessManagement__section_ivl_bgx_5yb} View and manage the cost plans and expense lines of sub-projects on parent projects. Create a baseline on the parent project to fetch the financial performance of sub-projects to track the expenses and re-forecast the cost plan to use the budget efficiently. ## Optimize resource allocations and assignments {#r_ITBusinessManagement__section_azb_g3q_bcc} Assign users or groups according to the selected effort type when creating a resource assignment. Align resource allocations with the selected effort type. Use the assigned schedule for resource allocation when a resource has a schedule. Update to the resource assignment also modifies the resource assignment status. It is available on zBoot to all customers with demo data. Business Units, Goals, Enterprise Strategy, and Business Unit Strategy modules are available in the Organization application menu.
