# Close a remediation task

# Close a remediation task {#ariaid-title1}

If you determine that the issue associated with a remediation task can be immediately closed without further analysis, you can use the Close feature.

## Before you begin

Role required:

* sn_vulc.admin
* sn_vulc.remediation_owner  
  Note:  
  With the sn_vulc.remediation_owner role, you can reassign or close remediation tasks that are assigned to you or to your assignment groups.

## About this task

Starting with v15.0 of Configuration Compliance, the Close button has been removed for a remediation task.
When you resolve a remediation task, the resolution notes reflects in the work notes of all its test results.

## Procedure

1. Open the remediation task record.
2. Select the Close button.
3. Describe why the issue is being closed in the pop-up window.
4. Select Close.
