Access the dashboard via **All \> User Experience Analytics**, then select an application's Launch Dashboard link and choose the Search Analytics icon. If the dashboard does not load, configuration steps are available to enable data flow through the Service Portal.

## Access and Roles

To view the dashboard, users must have the **aisadmin** role plus one of the following roles: **analyticsadmin, analyticsviewer, portalanalyticsadmin, portalanalyticsviewer, webanalyticsadmin,** or **webanalyticsviewer**. This ensures appropriate permissions for accessing sensitive analytics data.

## Use Cases

* Monitor search usage and performance for specific search applications and date ranges.
* Review search trends to better understand end-user needs.
* Identify common queries with no or low-quality results to enhance the search experience and improve knowledge content.

## Interactive Filters

* **Search application filter:** Select a single AI Search-enabled application configuration (e.g., service portal, Next Experience workspace, mobile platform, Virtual Agent) to view relevant analytics.
* **Date range filter:** Choose preset or custom date ranges (up to 180 days) to analyze search query data. Custom ranges may increase load times.

## Metrics, Trends, and Reports

The dashboard consists of a main page and a Queries sub-page (accessible via "View all") that lists detailed search query data from the **Search Events \[syssearchevent\]** table. Data is cached for 60 minutes, so recent queries may not appear immediately.

### Key Metrics Include:

* **Search users:** Total unique users submitting queries, excluding those performed while impersonating others.
* **Total queries:** Number of search queries submitted.
* **Searches over time:** Counts of queries executed, search results clicked, and Genius Result answers clicked.
* **Average response time:** Query response times in milliseconds, with distribution and trend analysis.
* **Average click position:** Average position of clicked search results, showing user interaction quality.
* **Self-Solved Rate:** Percentage of queries leading to a clicked search result, indicating user satisfaction.

### Search Queries Section

This section lists individual user search queries with details such as click position, Genius Result involvement, language, geography, organization, and query date. The "View all" link enables deeper exploration of search events.

### Queries Section

* **Top queries:** Most frequently submitted queries.
* **Queries with no clicks:** Frequently submitted queries yielding no user clicks on results.
* **Queries with no results:** Frequently submitted queries producing no search results.

### Top Clicked Results Section

Displays the search results most frequently clicked by users, helping identify valuable content.

analytics dashboard displays key performance metrics, trends, and reports for AI Search usage. Analysts can apply interactive filters to view performance analytics for individual search applications and to select the time frame to analyze.
