# Install ServiceNow Otto for Creator {#ariaid-title1}

Install the ServiceNow Otto for Creator application to add generative AI functionality to your workflows.

## Before you begin

* Role required: admin
* Review the [ServiceNow Otto for Creator](https://store.servicenow.com/sn_appstore_store.do#!/store/application/8178fec0ce0431105a7c9305875b2dca) application listing in the ServiceNow Store for information on dependencies, licensing or subscription requirements, and release compatibility.
* Upgrade to Washington DC Patch 1 or later. For more information about this release, see [Available patches and hotfixes](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=available-versions&version=zurich&pubname=zurich-release-notes&ft:locale=en-US).
* Enable Next Experience. For information about activating Next Experience, see [Considerations for activating Next Experience](https://www.servicenow.com/docs/access?context=next-experience-adoption-paths&version=zurich&pubname=zurich-platform-user-interface&ft:locale=en-US).

## Procedure

1. Navigate to the [ServiceNow Otto for Creator](https://store.servicenow.com/sn_appstore_store.do#!/store/application/8178fec0ce0431105a7c9305875b2dca) application on the ServiceNow Store.  
   Important:  
   ServiceNow Otto for Creator requires a separate subscription.
2. From the ServiceNow Otto for Creator application page, select Request App.
3. After approval has been granted, on your instance, navigate to AllSystem ApplicationsAll Available Applications.
4. Find the ServiceNow Otto for Creator application (sn_now_creator) using the filter criteria and search bar.
5. Select Install.

## What to do next

Turn on the ServiceNow Otto for Creator skills you want to support. Grant the now.assist.creator role to each user you want to use ServiceNow Otto for Creator skills.
