The application helps you analyze business impact, develop continuity plans, test your readiness through exercises, and respond to real‑world crises. ## Business Continuity Management overview {#exploring-bcm__section_bsk_1b5_dyb} The Business Continuity Management application provides a framework to perform continuous management activities such as business impact analysis, business continuity planning, exercise management, and crisis management. Its structured workflows improve your organizational ability to respond to issues and recover quickly from disruptions. ## Business Continuity Management workflow {#exploring-bcm__section_csk_1b5_dyb} A workflow in the Business Continuity Management application involves steps for managing business continuity tasks: 1. Download the Business Continuity Management application from the ServiceNow Store with administrator role. 2. Set up the BCM application and templates for continuity tasks with BCM administrator role. 3. Create a business impact analysis (BIA) with BCM program manager role to understand the impact of disruptions and estimate recovery times. 4. Review and approve the BIA with BCM program manager or BCM lead roles to verify findings and recommendations. 5. Create a business continuity plan (BCP) that includes assets, scope, documentation, recovery teams, loss scenarios, related plans, and recovery tasks. Send a request to review and approve the business continuity plan. 6. Create exercise events to test plans, tracks the assets and their dependencies, and validate recovery capabilities. 7. Respond to crisis events, track recovery actions, and mitigate operational disruptions. 8. Manage alerts from the Crisis map and initiate response workflows. 9. Keyboard navigation was corrected for forms and recovery task pages. These updates benefit users who rely on screen readers, keyboard-only users, and users of other Assistive Technology (AT). * Reflow support for BCM: Content can be zoomed up to 400% through your browser settings, with page layouts automatically transforming into a vertical, stacked view without loss of content or functionality.
