Create a test template and use it to create test plans applying much of the same testing criteria.

Before you begin

Role required: sn_audit.manager, sn_audit_ws.supervisor, sn_audit.user, sn_audit_ws.auditor

Procedure

  1. Navigate to All > Audit > Audit Workspace.
  2. Click Create and select Test template from the Home page.
    You can also create a test template by navigating to the Audit workspace List page.
    1. Click the lists icon (List icon.).
    2. Click Test templates in the Execution list.
    3. Click New.
  3. On the form, fill in the fields.

    Field Description
    Number Unique identification number.
    Name Name of the test template.
    Control objective Objective that acts as a guidance for the control test.
    Duration Duration of the test in days, hours, minutes, and seconds.
    Design test
    Design expectations Basic requirement that should be met for a control to be effective.
    Design assessment procedures Procedure or steps to be followed to conclude whether the design of the control is effective to achieve the control objective or not. This is based on the design expectation.
    Operational test
    Operational expectations Expectations that should be met to ensure that the control is operating effectively to achieve the control objective.
    Operational assessment procedures Detailed steps, to carry out the operational expectations, which need to be performed to conclude that the control is operating successfully.
  4. Click Save.
  5. To visually explore the relationships between the different types of critical audit data that affect your business, click 360° view button.
  6. To update all associated test plan with the content of the test template that you created, click Update all button.
  7. To create test plans for all controls related to the control objective, as in the test template, if the test plan does not exist already, then click Create test plans for all controls button.
